Kylie Moore is from Los Angeles, California. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Italian and a minor in European History. She is a world traveler and has been exposed to languages since her mother is from Colombia and her father is from England. She speaks Spanish, English, and Italian fluently and has a strong passion for languages and continues to learn new ones.

Wawi was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, although she studied and learned English at a very early age. She holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting and currently lives in San Francisco where she's enjoying the restaurants, fun outings and somewhat nice weather. Her passion for languages and travel has led her to visit and learn about many different countries and cultures around the world. If you ever come to San Francisco, and the FC Barcelona soccer team is playing that day, you will find her at a sports bar cheering for her favorite team!
Joohwan was born and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. She came to the states 10 years ago. She currently living in San Francisco and works for Asiana Airlines as corporate sales executive.
Sulki was born in South Korea, but lived in Tokyo, Japan, as a girl. She graduated from San Francisco State University and University of Seoul in 2011 with majors in Sociology and Urban Sociology. Sulki is interested in multi-cultural childhood development and also loves to read, travel, and practice yoga. She is currently a member of the choir at SF Sa-Rang Community Church, where she serves as office coordinator.
Ilya is a St. Petersburg, Russian-born performance artist and freelance translator living in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has fluency in both English and Russian and no discernible accent in either language.
Anja is from Köln, Germany, and attended the Free University of Berlin before going abroad. She has lived in Brussels, New York City, and has called the gorgeous Bay Area her home for the last 16 years. She is the mother of three wonderful children and is therefore intensively familiar with the linguistic challenges of raising bilingual children in an English environment.
Marc is a 29 year-old graduate student at UC Davis majoring in Chemistry. He was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland. His mother is American born and father is Swiss, which allows him to be fluent in both English and French. He moved to Northern California in the fall of 2006 and loves it there. The area is great for its cultural diversity, food, and entertainment as well as for all the opportunities for outdoor activities.
Aurelie is from northern France and recently moved to California to be with her husband (and get some sunny weather!). She has a background in science, and previously worked for the development of organic farming. She loves traveling and has a particular interest for languages. She also likes nature, animals, rock n' roll, horror movies, manga, sports, and food.
Surja works as a licensed Feng Shui consultant and life coach. She has a rich background of experience. After managing two internet game cafes in Germany, she worked as executive assistant and first contact point of communication at Courage+Khazaka Electronic GmbH in Cologne, Germany. Her expertise is communication and bringing together people who share the same goals. Since 2010 she has been living in the Bay Area where she is creating her own holistic healing business. Her greatest joy is sharing her knowledge with others, helping people to grow and become more aware of who they really are.
Amy is from Kyoto, Japan. She loves studying languages and has graduate degree in teaching Japanese. She has been teaching Japanese at high schools and colleges in San Francisco Bay Area for many years.
Paolo is from Sicily, Italy, but he lives everywhere. He recently got his MA in International Studies, and he has a passion for foreign languages. He fluently speaks English and Spanish and easily reads Russian. His mother tongue is his special gift. Knowing Italian well is a privilege and he strives to reach out to newbies with accuracy and care.
Matteo Wright's maternal grandparents arrived in the United States from 1907 through 1927. They were wonderful hard working Southern Italians from the province of Bari and the town of Santèramo in Colle.
Growing up in a multi-language household, he was speaking the language of the town of Santèramo, Italian and English. Being raised in San Francisco with English as a second language he felt he fit right in with everyone else as it was and still is very common there to be multilingual.
Over the years he has taught and tutored language at all levels. He received his BA in French Language and Literature from San Francisco State University. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe for over 30 years and hopes to continue to do so.
Matteo enjoys reading, crafts, cooking, meals with friends and family, hiking, and best of all, traveling!
Letizia Bizzozero was born and raised in Italy, where she went to college and obtained her BA in Foreign Languages - Italian and Spanish - and then obtained her Foreign Languages teaching credentials. She worked several years as an English and Spanish teacher in Italy before moving to California in August 2010. In California she soon started teaching Italian, which she still does, together with Italian translating and interpreting, and a new found passion for writing, blogging, and enjoying California.
